Yesterday while I was getting my hair done I got a little teary eyed thinking about Tanner starting school again. So much so that I thought I'd go find him and just give him a big hug. I found him watching some cartoons, then I noticed that he had pudding all over his face...typical Tanner. Then I noticed he had pudding smeared all over his church pants! Huh, maybe it is a time for a little time apart. We love our Tan and we are sad to see him go back to school, but I think we will survive.

He is a big 1st grader now and when we (tried) to walk him in to his class this morning, we were hardly able to keep up. He has grown up so much since beginning Kindergarten- it is exciting to see what this next year holds for him.

First day of Kindergarten
First day of 1st grade
And one more side note. A miracle happened at the Bench house this morning. All kids (and mom) were up, dressed, fed and out the door by 7:30. I never thought this would happen.

It's great that he's so excited and feels like he can handle it! He's a cutie.
What an independant kid! It's funny to see how little he looks in kindergarten, but 1st grade makes him look so grown up!
Tanner sure has grown up since last year!
Tanner sure has grown up since last year!
Oops, sorry about the double post!
Holy cow, you have a 1st grader?!?! Congrats on the miracle...we're not even awake at 7:30. LOL Kade is getting so big. You have such cute kids. :)
Hey Amy! So good to hear from you! Love your blog. Your family is adorable, I can't believe Tanner is in 1st grade! Congrats on the new baby! Absolutely beautiful! (Sorry about the Facebook thing, I think I pressed the wrong button and sent an invite to everyone I'd ever emailed or who had emailed me! :) I'm not going to do it though...but I'd love to stay in touch through our blogs!
I can't believe you have a first grader!! I'm so glad I was able to see him and his little personality. He's such a good kid.
7:30, I am impressed. I know I couldn't do it with 2 kids let alone 3. Tanner looks excited to be starting school.
I am SOOO impressed you were all ready by 7:30. I don't know if I"ll ever get that good. I'm not excited for the Kindergarten thing, good thing I have one more year.
Reading about your trip to UT made me so homesick! I've been having my own visions about flying in over the majestic mountains welcoming me home. I'm so glad you had such a great time!
Tell Greg hi!
Loves,
