- Greg and I met at Snow College. He lived in Mountain View Apartments #3 and I lived in #2. Our groups of friends did a lot together, but we never dated much. Although, I am sure Greg will edit this post if I do not mention that he tried. (I may have told a little white lie one time when he tried to asked me out.)
- He cut me from his intramural softball team.
- I tried cutting his hair once, only to call in a friend for an emergency fix.
- We had some great waterfights inside the apartments.
- He would burst in our apartment every morning to give us a hard time about not being ready yet.
- We took a Statistics class together and were in the same study group. I would struggle and struggle as he wizzed on. I finally dropped the class, and he passed with flying colors. He still gives me a hard time about dropping the class.
- We couldn't keep him locked out of our apartment to save our lives. Somehow he would always find a way in. Many times we returned home to all our furniture flipped over.
- I met his parents for the first time when I took him to the ER following a rough flag football game where he had broken his thumb.
- My roommate and I had been up to his parent’s house (only 20 minutes away) many times and enjoyed the farm life... completely enjoying the horses and four wheelers and amazing scenery of Sanpete County.
- The school year came and went and we were the best of friends.
Story Continued...
The summer following Snow College Greg and I kept in touch and my roommate and I would head down to Greg’s every so often to enjoy the summer. After each of these visits I would send Greg a Thank You Note and mention how much our friendship meant to me. Later I would find out how crazy those 'friendship' notes would drive him. He was trying to figure out what in the world I was thinking… I think I was trying to figure it out too!
After the summer was over Greg went to Utah State University and I went to the University of Utah. We still kept in touch, but definitely lived our own lives. Everything was good, until one night during a phone conversation Greg told me he had started dating this girl. (!!!!) I was crushed. I don’t think I did a very good job at hiding it either. I really thought I had missed my chance. Luckily Greg caught on to my disappointment and his relationship didn’t last too long. We had ‘THE TALK’ shortly after and realized we wanted to try the dating thing. We had been such good friends for so long, he had my complete trust and it was easy to slip into being a couple.
One night we went up to Salt Lake to visit his sister, Andrea. When we arrived at their house they weren’t home yet. We let ourselves in and started talking… out of the blue, without much forethought I just said “Won’t it be nice when we have a house of our own.” We hadn’t even talked about getting married –heck, we had only been dating a couple weeks. I think I caught Greg off guard, to say the least. But, if felt right and we both knew it. We were engaged on February 21st and married on June 30th.
Looking back we were both so young. I think we are completely different people now, but we have changed together and have worked together. I have loved watching him become a father and how he so completely loves and cares for his family. I couldn’t ask for a better husband. Thanks babe! Here’s to many more to come!
This pic is of me and my roommates and Greg's friends. We had just finished a HUGE waterfight!
The first night our groups of friends met. This is Greg with my roommmates

Greg and Spencer. They had just taken me and a roommate to the Manti Temple.
I went pheasant hunting with these two boys. I so didn't know what I was getting myself in to.
This is proof we did go on one date while at Snow College.
Institute Gradution. He's on the far left, I'm on the far right.
We were able to serve on Institute Council together.
